Great things are built. Not wished into being.

Charisma doesn’t build things. Brilliance doesn’t. Neither does talent. Or luck.

It’s work. Often long. Often boring. Usually painful. It’s chiseling. Hewing. Measuring. Tearing down. Starting again. Brick upon brick. Through sun times and rainy days.

It’s 1 year. 5 years. 25 years.

Nobody looks at the foundation of a house and says “wow”. Neither do they admire the rough hewn walls during construction. But when the house is built, it wows.

Play the long game. It’s the only way to build anything meaningful.
